WW1 Remembered

WWI Remembered – A Light and Sound Show
Transmit Media & Wellington City Council
A visual requiem of war.Transmit Media commissioned Storybox to assist in animating and projection mapping the story of New Zealand’s involvement in conflict from World War 1 (WWI) through to today for the 100th anniversary of the ANZAC relationship and opening of the the Pukeahau War Memorial Park over eight nights in April 2015.
With a primary focus on WWI, the work was also a reflection on other conflicts the New Zealand armed forces has been involved and commemorations of those who have been involved.  The projections incorporated archive photos and quotes from diaries with animation and significant New Zealand art works.
One hundred years on from World War I and we are still dealing with war and aggression. We hope through telling stories that reflect on the hope and suffering of our past judgements a dialogue can be created to find another way.
